    Zebre v Cardiff Blues

The Blues secure their first win of the season when they beat Zebre 16-6 on Friday.

It was a Josh Adams try and great defence that gave the men from Cardiff the victory and the best way to start the new season in the PRO14.

Adams try got hold of a Evans kick to score the only try of the contest in the first half which helped them to take the win.

It was Evans eight points with two late penalties from Tovey that took the game away from Zebre.

Canna got a few penalties over for the Italians but they were unable to find any way through the brilliant Blues defence

Zebre were good in the opening few minutes but they were put on the back foot when Mori was shown a yellow card.

That gave Evans the opportunity to step up and kick the first points for the visitors.

The moment the game swung was on the half hour mark when Adams got the ball from a high kick by Evans to race away to the try line.

After the restart the Blues Turnbull was send off with a red card after a high tackle on Mbanda which gave the Italians some hope of coming back into the match.
Penalties from Evans kept the scoreboard ticking over which was backed up with their great defence to secure the win with 14 men.
