Exeter Chiefs became the Champions of Europe on Saturday after they beat Racing 92 in a thrilling final 31-27 to lift the trophy for the first time.
We saw tries from Luke-Cowan Dickie, Sam Simmonds and Harry Williams to give the champions a nine-point lead at halftime but Racing came back at them in the second half with tries form Simon Zebo and Camille Chat to come within a point.
Exeter had to play with 14 men after Francis was shown a late yellow card but they managed to hold on to lift the title.
That final 10 minutes was not for the fainthearted. Racing turned down a penalty at points to go through multiple phases leaving the Chiefs to defend for their life’s.
It was Hidalgo-Clyne turnover and Joe Simmonds penalty that was the last act of the match.
