Griquas ruthless against ill-disciplined Elephants in PE

Tafel Lager Griquas was ruthless on Wednesday against the Elephants beating then 43-0 in a match which the Elephants again let themselves down with ill-discipline.

The quicker EP Elephants learn that you can not play this game at this level with red and yellow cards being dished out week after week, the quicker they will be able to develop as a team.

This was the first win for the Griquas team and the scoreline may even have been more if they were a bit more clinical.

Their forwards was dominating the match in all aspects of the game, specially the mauls where they got three tries from six mauls they setup in that first half.

The Elephants did defend well and credit must go to them for never really going up although they could not score one point on the night against Griquas.

At the break Griquas only led 17-0.

The Elephants may have defended well in that first half but the constant pressure form Griquas had to break the dam wall at the end.

Griquas added two more tries from great mauls that they setup with James Verity-Amm eventually scoring one for the backs after the red card to Arends opened up the game for Griquas.

The last one came again from a maul which gave Luus his third try of the match.

The Elephants will have to work harder on their discipline otherwise they will never be able to compete with the rest of the teams.
