Heineken Champions Cup QF Preview – Plenty of quality rugby on the telly this Saturday

It was quarter final times in Europe and the weekend kickoff with La Rochelle hosting Sale on Saturday.

La Rochelle will host Sale Sharks in the first Champions Cup quarter final on Saturday.

This is the first quarter final for the Sale in 15 years as the kept an unchanged matched 23 for this one against the French outfit.

One can not argue much with Alex Sanderson keeping faith in the payers that hammered Scarlets last weekend 57-14. MacGinty, last weeks hero will again start at flyhalf.

The home side however made eight changes to their XV which beaten Gloucester last week. Brice Dulin returns to the number fifteen jumper as well as Atonio and Alldritt.

Sale have a few great players in the match.World Cup winner Faf de Klerk will start at nine with Tom Curry who will again start on the side of the scrum.

Both sides will be gunning for the win as neither has won the competition yet.

This is a great match to look forward to and will be live on SuperSport on Saturday at 16:00

Exeter will be hosting the PRO14 Champions in the second mouthwatering quarter final this weekend.

The defending champions could not have asked for a tougher opponent and will have to be on par if they want to move on to the semi finals and defend their title.

Rob Baxter has made two changes to his side both in the front row. Ben Moon and Tomas Francis will start the match in place of Hepburn and Williams.

Joe Simmonds was declare fit for the match and will start at ten.

Leinster have also made some changes to their side who was supposed to have faced Toulon last week. Scott Fardy will replace Ryan Baird in the second row.

Ireland’s Johnny Sexton will lead the side for this quarter final clash. Leinster have quality in the back three with Hugo Keenan, Jordan Larmour and James Lowe.

Sam Simmonds will take the number eight jumper with Scotland’s national captain Stuart Hogg at fullback in his 50th Champions Cup appearance.
