France made easy work of Italy on Friday in their World Cup warm-up match.

They beat the Italians 47-19 as they scored sevens tries to the three of Italy.

France was just a class above the Italians and have shown that they will again be a contender in this years World Cup.

Italy looks set for a difficult World Cup playing in the same pool as the All Blacks, Springboks, Canada and Namibia.

Although the Italians had a huge win over Russia last week they have not beaten a top 10 nations in the last 12 months and seems to come unstuck against the better sides.

France slick hands and speed was just too much for the Italians defence and they were over the line within two minutes in the test.

The first 20 minutes did not provide much more from the home side but they were in control of the match.

With a sin bin for Picamoles, the Italains took advantage to get their first points on the board. That gave the visitors the lead in the test.

France went down to 13 men when Slimani was also send to the sin bin. France did not hold back as they were then awarded a penalty try when Huget were held back by Belini who was also joining the naughty chair brigade.

With 13 men against 14 France still were in control of play with their pack getting Chat over for another try to make the scoreboard tick over to 19-7.

Both sides just gave away too many penalties which they will have to sort out before the World Cup.

The second half was all France as they came out firing with a great solo score from Dupont who side-step his way through some poor Italian defence.

Dupont try was followed by a great try was was rounded off by Iturria.

Italy did came back with a try from Polledri who powered his way over to make it 33-14.

The benches of both sides were used in the final twenty minutes.

France Lauret went over to stretch the lead to 40-14.

Italy got a last try through Bellini again but it was Ramos who had the final say in the test match when he scored the home side seventh try of the match.
