Jake adds another lock to his squad

The Bulls have confirmed that 26-year-old Jan Uys will join the Bulls family from CA Brive on the 1 July.

Uys has spend the last few season with CA Brive after he also played for Pau in the French Top14.

He is a powerful ball carrier with some great skills to add to his game. He is like an extra loose forward on the field and will now show is skills at Loftus.

He made his first class debut for he DHL Western Province in 2014 and represented the Province in both U21 and U19 level.

Uys has spent the last few seasons with CA Brive after an initial six months with fellow Top 14 outfit Pau. It did not take him long to carve out a reputation as powerful ball carrier in the unforgiving environment that is French rugby, but what sets him apart is his ball handling ability, an attribute usually more associated with loose forwards and backs.

He also played for the EP Kings n 2015 before he left for France.
