This Vodacom Bulls took full advantage of the Pumas ill-discipline to take a good win in Nelspruit on Tuesday. Leading 24-17 at the break the Bulls carried the momentum through to the second half to beat the Pumas 48-31
The Bulls had the perfect start to the match with a try in the first minute of the match when Joe van Zyl got over on the back off a rolling maul.
This gave the Bulls an early 7 -0 lead but that was short lived when the Pumas hit back with Kleinhans getting over for the home side.
The tries kept coming with the Bulls taking the lead again from Jacobs after some great quick hands but the Pumas again hit back with a brilliant try Brandon Valentyn.
That even things up again on the scoreboard at 14-14.
Keeping with the trend of the game so far the Bulls were next to score from a rolling maul. Joe van Zyl was the man that got up with the ball to give the Bulls back the lead 19-14.
Niel Marias kicked a penalty over to make it a two point game with 10 minutes to go in the first half.
The Bulls got another one through Steenkamp after a few attempts with the rolling maul and finally got over. That gave them a 24-17 lead at the break.
The Pumas kept on giving away penalties in the second half and the Bulls fed from it. It did not take long for the visitors to get another try, this time from Mornay Smith.
The Bulls got their second of the second half when David Kriel took a quick tap to send Potgieter over for the Bulls sixth try of the match.
The Pumas worked their way to the Bulls twenty two and after two great scrums the referee decided to give a penalty try. This reduced the lead of the Bulls to 41-24
The Pumas got a few penalties coming their way and worked their way back into the Bulls twenty two and from a rolling maul Dewald Maritz broke away to score for the home side.
The Bulls hit back immediately with another rolling maul. This was the last score of the as the Bulls get another great win.
