Canterbury Punivai raced 60 meters to break Wellington fans hearts to win in the first golden point match on Saturday.

This came after two defeats for the red and black Canterbury side. This was not just a 31-26 win but also a bonus point win.

They got over a penalty from the boot of Burke before Christie got over for a late score.
