The Crusaders have signed Argentinian captain Pablo Matera for next year. The 60 test veteran will join the Crusaders in 2022.
He currently play for the French side Stade Francais.
According to Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge Matera was keen to play Super Rugby again and the Crusaders is very happy to have them next year.
Crusaders coach, Scott Robertson, said that Matera will be a great mentor for his young loose forwards and he is looking forward to working with him. He describe Matera as skilful player with genuine leadership qaulities.
Matera led his country to their first ever win over the All Blacks last year in the Try Nations.
