Springbok flyhalf Pollard was stretchered from the field in the second half on Friday.
He was playing for his French club Montpellier against Racing 92 when tried to make a tackle.
It looked like a serious knee injury as he immediately grab his knee after the tackle.
According to reports, Pollard was taken straight to hospital as they expected he suffered ligament damage which could see him on the sideline for months
Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber will be a worried man with his number 1 flyhalf looking set to miss the Rugby Championship if the worse fears are true.
Pollard has had a few serious injuries which saw him miss a few years of rugby between the 2015 World Cup and 2019.
