Preview – Waratahs v Western Force

It is only round 3 of Super rugby AU but the Waratahs are already fighting for survival this weekend when they face the Force on Friday.

They have loss both their opening matches of the new season and it was not pretty in both of them. Even their coach said he will leave if that is what is required.

In so many ways this is a must win game for the Tahs and it is not going to be easy against the Force.

We see for the Tahs that Faulkner will be in place of Angus Bell with Nawaqanitawase making his first start at the back for the Tahs.

We also see that Dave Porecki replace Tom Horton while Hugh Sinclair gets his first run this year in the starting XV. He replace Whetton in the second row partnering with Sam Caird.

Force coach has made nine changes to his side for this clash. Thomas Cubelli will start ahead of Ian Prior with Pulu starting on the wing this weekend. This will give the Force a new combination at halfback in Cubelli and McIntyre.

In the pack Tim Anstee will make his first start after he has shown some strong performance off the bench with Ready starting at hooker.

Brynard Stander was named captain for this one.

This is going to be a cracker, with the Tahs desperate for a win and the Force desperate to proof a proof a point.
