The Toyota Cheetahs ended their first tour in this year PRO14 competition without a win after starting the season at home with three great wins.
Cardiff Blues on the other hand had ended their four-games losing streak when they got the win on Saturday.
They had tries from Aled Summerhill and Josh Turnbull to help secure the win at home. The rest of their points was by Jason Tovey and Jarrod Evans boot.
The Cheetahs got their points from Rhyno Smith and Clayton Blommetjies who crossed the whitewash with some extras from Ruan Pienaar boot.
The Cheetahs discipline cost them big time agains when Jasper Wiese was send off with a red card after coming in with the shoulder in a ruck in the 14th minute of the match.
For the home side started the match well with Tovey getting a penalty over to give his side the lead.
It was Harri Millard who then got through the Cheetahs defence to send Summerhill over for the first try.
The home side had a 11-point lead before the Cheetahs hot back with their first try of the match by Smith.
Blommetjies got over not long after that when Pokomela launched a great counter-attack.
With Tovey going off Evans came on and slotted two penalties to give the home side the lead of 17-14.
The second half saw Turnbull getting his try to extend the lead to 24-14 before Pienaar got a 50-meter kick over but Evans kept the scoreboard ticking over as the Cheetahs keep giving away penalties.
