Edinburgh will welcome Ospreys to the Scottish capital on Saturday in the last match of the opening round of the new PRO14 season.
The home side had a good season in 2019/20 but again failed when it matters and coach Cockerill will want his team to do better this time around.
Ospreys on the other hand had a season to forget and a good start will put them in the right frame of mind to kick-start this season on the right note.
Edinburgh had a few injuries that force them to change their side. Without Blair Kinghorn and Duhan van der Merwe it will be Damian Hoyland and Jamie Farndale take their places at full-back and wing.
Ospreys will also have some injuries and they will be without Viliame Mata and Jamie Ritchie.
Nick Haining, Magnus Bradbury and Luke Crosbie all start in the back row, with Mark Bennett and WP Nel returning to the matchday 23.
