Rainbow Cup – Connacht and Edinburgh open Rainbow Cup with wins

With the Guinness PRO14 rainbow Cup starting in the Northern Hemisphere on Friday we saw two close results on Friday.

Connacht got the better over Ulster with a 26-24 win and Edinburgh beat Zebre 24-18.

It was a last-gasp try form Peter Sullivan that gave Connacht a 26-24 win over Ulster in the first match of the Rainbow Cup on Friday.

Ulster look all set and done for the win a few minutes earlier when Shanahan got over for Ulster with his try but it was not to be for the home side.

It was a great way to start the Rainbow Cup and kept any supporter on the edge of their seat for this one.

At the end it was Sullivan late try that gave the visitors the win in the first round.
