Reds secure place in Super Rugby AU final against Brumbies

It will be the Brumbies v the Reds in the Super Rugby AU final after the Reds beat the Rebels 25-13 on Saturday.

It was a tight contest with the Rebels on the front foot in the opening minutes of the clash. It was however the Reds that was on the board first with the a try from Jordan Petaia. O’Conner converted the try and kicked a penalty to give them good lead.

The Rebels hot back with a try from Koroibete and a penalty from Toomua.

The Reds started the second half well Salakaia-Loto getting over for a try with O’Conner and Toomuna trading penalties.

It was still anybody’s game going into the final quarter. It was finally the try from Daugunu that sealed it for the Reds and a place in the final against the Brumbies.

Reds – Tries: Jordan Petaia, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Filipo Daugunu. Conversions: James O’Connor (2). Penalties: James O’Connor (2).

Rebels – Tries: Marika Koroibete. Conversions: Matt Toomua. Penalties: Matt Toomua, Reece Hodge.
