It was all England in the first semi-final when they beat the All Blacks 19-7.

England showed that they will not stand down against the World Champions when they stand up against them during the Haka

With such precision from the start the one question was doing the rounds on social media if they can keep it up for 80 minutes and they did just that.

This was one of the bets performances we have seen from a England side since 2003.

England put pressure on New Zealand from the start and created a few mismatches on attack which the All Blacks could not defend.

With England on the front foot they kept the ball in hand heading to the All Blacks line and it was Manu Tuilagi who got over the line for England first try and the lead within 2 minutes.

All the play was with England creating space and putting New Zealand under pressure they have not seen so far in this World Cup.

The All Blacks started to get more ball in hand but it was met with some brilliant defence from England who was just playing some of the best rugby we have seen from them for a long time.

England got over for a second try but it was disallowed when the TMO came in and showed obstruction in the lead-up to that try.

England had one of the best first half we seen from them in a long time. They were putting pressure on the All Blacks through attack and defence and their handling was something brilliant which we have not seen a lot off.

England ended the half off with a penalty kick from Ford that extend their lead to 10-0 at the break.

England started the second as they did the first with all the pressure on the World Champions.

It was from a maul that Youngs snipped over but again the TMO came in to disallow the try due to a forward pass in the maul. IT was very lucky for the All Blacks.

England kept the pressure up and they got a penalty form it which Owens kicked over with ease to take their lead to 13-0 after 52 minutes.

New Zealand finally got their backs going and almost got a thry out wide but some great defence again from England took them out.

England with their first mistake in the lineout all night got punish big time when Savea took an overthrow ball to get New Zealand first try.

It took not long for England to dominate again with some brilliant defence on Barrett which saw them camping on the line for the World Champions again to force a penalty.

Farrell made no mistake and extend the English lead again to 16-7.

England kept it on New Zealand which the All Blacks just could not handle and gave away another penalty which Ford was too happy to kick over.

Even when New Zealand try their best with ball in hand England defence just stood up and knocked them back every time.

England put a massive statement that they are the team to beat for this World Cup.

Scorers:

New Zealand: Tries – Ardie Savea Conversions – Richie Mo”unga

England: Tries – Manu Tuilagi Conversions – Owen Farrell Penalties – George Ford(4)

  1. NZ played arrogant and stupid rugby – thought their 7s style can beat anybody. Quite sad when arrogance fall like today. Let’s hope we do not underestimate Wales.
