Sharks also go with youth for Griquas clash


The Cell C Sharks will welcome Griquas on Sunday in their first of the warm-up matches.

Currie Cup finalist the Sharks will want to get this season off to a good start and build towards the Rainbow Cup. New signing Reniel Hugo has joined the Sharks from the Cheetahs and will get his first run in a Sharks jumper off the bench.

As with many of the other teams in this first week of matches, the Sharks went with a young side with some experience players in the mix.

Manie Libbok will get a chance at ten this weekend having played mostly for the Sharks at fifteen since he joined them from the Bulls last year. Libbok halfback partner will be Grant Williams.

Another new signing, Anthony Volminck will start the game on the wing with Fast and Kok as his back three partners.

Koster get is his opportunity in the midfield alongside Ward.

In the pack we see JJ van der Mescht, Phepsi Buthelezi and Bholi with Khwezi Mona and Michael Kumbirai getting an opportunity as well.
