Six Nations – North to miss Scotland clash

George North will not be able to get his 100th cap for Wales this weekend against Italy die to an injury.

With Johnny Williams and Jonathan Davies already ruled out, Wales has a mini centre crises now with the news that North is also out for this weekend.

It looks like Nick Tompkins and Owen Watkin will take the midfield for Wales against Italy this weekend.

Willis Halaholo has been called up to the squad. Halaholo has qualify to play for Wales through residency after he joined Cardiff Blues in 2016.

Wales have also called up Lloyd Williams and James Botham to the squad. Dan Lydiate has been released from the squad after he suffered a knee injury last weekend.

Johnny Williams, Hallam Amos and scrum-half Tomos Williams will  also miss Saturday’s test against Scotland.

Josh Adams is also absent for Scotland test as he serves the second game of a two-match ban for breaching Covid-19 regulations.

Good news is that Liam Williams will be back after suspension having being sent off for Scarlets against Cardiff Blues last month and is in line to replace the concussed Amos.
