The Blues have cancelled their Super Rugby pre-season match against the Crusaders.
This is after Auckland moved to a level 3 lockdown.
Although Auckland’s lockdown is in place until midnight Wednesday, it may be extended. The other problem for the Blues is that restrictions on mass gatherings are at level 2 which only allow 100 people.
Blues CEO Andrew Hore, said that their priority is the safety and wellbeing of their players, staff and all their fans. He also said everybody needs to do their part to protect the spread of the virus.
The Blues will start their Super Rugby Aotearoa next Saturday against the Hurricanes in Wellington.
