Super Rugby AU – Reds get one over Brumbies in Brisbane


The Reds got a psychological punch in on Saturday when they beat the Brumbies 26-7 in Brisbane.

The Reds gave us one of their better performances with a great first half going 18-0 in front early on.

Their first half burst came from tries by Liam Wright and Chris Feauai-Sautia with O’Conner that added two penalties and a conversion.

The Brumbies then replied with a converted try by Samu. It kept the Brumbies in the contest but inability to score in the second half cost them.

It was Tate McDermott that went over for another try for the Reds and O’Conner with a penalty that sealed a great win for the Reds as they prepare to face the Rebels in the playoffs.

The Brumbies still finish on top of the log even though the disappointing performance in Brisbane on Saturday. They have secured a home playoff place with the Reds.
