NSW Waratahs NSW Waratahs 10 29 Rebels Rebels

The Rebels floored our predictions for this weekend match when they easily beat and error ridden Waratahs side 29-10 on Friday.

It was really no contest as they Rebels were full value for the win outscoring the host with two tries to one. The Waratahs gone back to their old bad habits giving away penalties and making too many handling errors on attack.

Toomua 19-point contribution with the boot tells the story off the mistakes from the Tahs.

The Tahs other points came from Ryan Louwrens and Marika Koroibete who scored tries.

The Waratahs points came from one try by Newsome and a penalty and conversion from Will Harrison.

The Rebels got off to a good start when Kellaway got over the line but had knocked the ball on which gave Toomua to open the scoring with a penalty goal.

The Tahs replied with their only try off the match when Newsome got his hands on the ball from a wayward pass by Hodge to run in the first try off the match.

This gave the Waratahs the lead in the match.

That did not stop the Rebels to control the game. The Waratahs defence held on but penalties cost them as Toomua added two more penalties to give the Rebels the lead of 9-7.

The Tahs slotted another three pointer to take the lead back. That was the last points for the home side in the the match.

Hooper received a yellow card 30 minutes into the game for a professional foul and Toomua again kicked the penalty to put his side in front again.

With the Rebels dominating the play they got their reward when Louwrens got over for his side first try off the match from a dominated scrum.

The conversion was added by Toomua which took the Rebels to 19-10 lead at the break.

The second half was hard to watch with both teams making plenty off errors.

The Rebels were still the dominated side and kept the scoreboard ticking over with more penalties coming their way.

Just before the end off the match Koroibete sealed the win with his try.

Scorers:

Waratahs: Try: Alex Newsome Conversion: Will Harrison Penalty: Harrison

Rebels: Tries: Ryan Louwrens, Marika Koroibete Conversions: Matt Toomua (2) Penalties: Matt Toomua (5)

Western Force Western Force 0 24 Brumbies Brumbies

The Brumbies moved to the top off the log when they kept the Force scoreless on Saturday beating them 24-0.

The Force have not won a game in the revamp Aussie Super Rugby competition and were woeful on Saturday against the Brumbies who showed just too much class against the Perth side.

The Brumbies got off to an excellent start in wet conditions when they scored two tries in 5 minutes.

They added two more tries in the second half when Miller and McInerney got over for their tries.

Wright got over the line within 90 seconds with great backline play from a scrum in their own half.

They got their second try minutes later running the ball from deep on the counter. Quality passing saw Simone getting over for his try and a good lead to start the match.

The Force had their changes in the match but handling errors cost them big time throughout the match.

The Brumbies got their third try in the second half when Wright pulled in two defenders to send Miller over. Their fourth try came from a driving maul.

At the end the Force was just not up for this match.

Scorers:

Brumbies: Tries: Tom Wright, Irae Simone, Will Miller, Connal McInerney Conversions: Bayley Kuenzle (2)
