Super Rugby Unlocked – Cheetahs outplay Griquas in the wet


The Toyota Cheetahs were too good for Griquas in the wet on Saturday in their final round of Super Rugby Unlocked, beating them 28-9.

The game was a tight affair and two late tries gave the Cheetahs a bit of a bigger lead.

They were able to get back after trailing with one point at the break and scored 20 unanswered second half points to take the win.

Handling was always going to be a bit of a mess which put moe pressure on the packs to perform.

The Cheetahs were on the board first with try by Andisa Ntsila, but Griquas reduced it with a Tinus de Beer penalty.

In the second half centre Howard Mnisi went over for the a try and Ruben de Haas crashed over for their third try of the match.

The Cheetahs with this win has claimed 4th spot on the table going into the Currie Cup this weekend.
