A US private equity firm, Silver Lake are negotiating a 15% minority stake in New Zealand Rugby according to reports coming out of New Zealand.
According to the report the negotiations with Silver Lake and other investment firms would resume once Super Rugby future has been decided.
The value is estimate at US$2 billion ($2.79b NZD). Bruin Sports Capital is also believed to have been negotiated with NZ Rugby.
This is not a surprise as NZ Chief Executive Mark Robinson confirmed last November that there are talks with private investing companies.
