Van der Merwe and Kebble set to make their debuts for Scotland this weekend


South African-born Duhan van der Merwe and Oli Kebble will both make their test debut for Scotland this Friday when they face Georgia at Murrayfield.

Both qualified for residency and will make their first appearance for Scotland this weekend.

Fraser Brown will captain Scotland for the first time with Finn Russell being named on the bench. Russell and Scotland coach Gregory Townsend had a dispute earlier this year which did not see him playing in any of the Six Nations matches.

When he come on the field he will earn his 50th cap for his country.

Adam Hastings will run out with the number 10 jumper and he will pair up with Jamie Ritchie who will start at nine.

Matt Fagerson will also make his fist start since August 2019

The midfield will see James Lang and Chris Harris teaming up for this match.

Scotland: Kinghorn; Graham; Harris, Lang; Van der Merwe; Hastings; Price; Sutherland, Brown (capt), Z Fagerson; Toolis, Cummings; Ritchie, Watson, M Fagerson.

Replacements: McInally, Kebble, Berghan, Harley, Haining, Du Preez, G Horne, Russell.
